Jeffrey C. Twycross, Ph.Dc
Jeff is our second founding partner and a longtime EMS management specialist. Beginning his career in 1998 as an EMT working for a local emergency and non-emergency ambulance provider. During his first 4 years, Jeff worked in both the field as well as dispatch and was promoted to Field Training Officer, Field Supervisor, Communications Manager, and Operations Manager.
In 2000 (and concurrently with his full-time employment) Jeff opened a special event and standby ambulance service providing onsite EMS for venues across California. In 2002 Jeff attended Paramedic School at Georgia Metro Tech in Acworth, GA earning an A.S. in Paramedic Technology, one of 3 A.S. degrees that he holds. In 2004 Jeff also graduated from UCLA/Stafford University, UK with a double Bachelors in Business Science/Administration. He is currently a Ph.D student under scholarship at UCLA and expects to complete his doctorate in 2020
In 2008 Jeff sold his business and shortly afterward in mid-2009, he opened a new ambulance service which is now well developed and provides service in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Jeff maintains active involvement within the private sector of EMS operations and business management. He also holds equity positions in several other businesses included a special event EMS service, an aerial film production company, and of course, RTC.
Jeff provides general instruction for courses taught at RTC but his specialty lies in the instruction of wilderness and sports medicine as these are both his personal interests and play an active role in his extracurricular activities as well as his professional ones.
